Hallo Guten Tag po, I’m an undergrad student sa UP currently in my penultimate year. I’m interested to take an Ausbildung in Nursing (hopefully in Pediatric or Surgical Nursing) after my college graduation. What will be the requirements when Ang Bachelor’s ko po from Philippines is not related at all to Nursing? (Music po major ko hehe). Will the TOR ko Po be sufficient or need rin po Form 137 ko from Junior to Senior High? And need ko po bang ipa-Translate and ipa Anerkannt these and all other Documents? Also ano Po Pala mas recommended na Ausbildung Platz in terms of quality training and renumeration? In University Hospitals Po ba or even in smaller hospitals/nursing homes? Thank you very much po!

    1. Hi! For Ausbildung ay you yung certificate of recognition and no worries if not related yung Bachelor mo, hindi required Bachelor degree for Ausbildung actually, since it just needs at least equivalent to German Realschule or Hauptschule, while bachelor is already equivalent to Abitur (higher than the minimum school equivalent). You can check this website and use it as guidelines: https://www.ausbildung.de/ratgeber/ausbildung-fuer-nicht-eu-buerger/#guide-finding-ausbildung-as-non-eu-citizen

As to Ausbildungplatz, big or small hospitals ay it doesn’t matter, all have same quality training, however downside sa small hospitals in countryside and nursing homes ay most patients, especially elderly ones, speak in dialects and not high German, so it’s additional language to adapt to.

Hi, I’m Filipino and 18 years old. I want to continue my studies in Germany, and it has been my dream alongside my father, who is already there and working. I have finished 12 years of education here in PH (including K12) and I’m currently taking BS ECE at Malayan Colleges Laguna. 1st year palang po ako and 2nd term/semester na po kami (we have three semesters in one year here). My father has a blue card and he wants us to move there with him for good. Can I continue my bachelor’s degree in Hamburg po in a similar engineering field?

They’re accepting any of these: Higher education entrance qualification (Hochschulreife) equivalent to German Fachhochschulreife, allgemeine Hochschulreife (Abitur) or fachgebundene Hochschulreife or equivalent.

My dad really wants me there immediately, wag ko na daw tapusin bachelor’s ko dito kasi ang mahal na ng tuition and mas marami akong opportunities in Germany compared here sa PH. He would be really disappointed if madelay pa ako. I don’t want to take Studienkolleg either because of the hectic requirements and entrance exam.

    1. Hi! You can continue here, but you need to attend the Studienkolleg nga lang kasi K12 is not directly equivalent to Abitur, which is needed to attend a university. If K12 lang ay for Ausbildung pwede. For university ay K12 + 1 full year in college for Studienkolleg. For Abitur ay at least 2 full years in college (you can see this at anabin databank, under “Schulabschlüsse mit Hochschulzugang). It is also good, kasi Studienkolleg will give you a chance to slowly adapt sa university life here, because it is totally different sa Pinas. Plus sa Studienkolleg included na din ang language course, bachelor degrees here are mostly in German language and minimum requirement is C1, so Studienkolleg is big help. Even ako na who came here with bachelor degree ay totally na-culture shock sa university life dito.

    Hello po!
I am currently an online grade 12 student sa AMA po, but I’m already here in Germany. With a grade 12 certificate po ba, can I apply for Ausbilding here? ICT po kinuha ko, and I was hoping if I could get an Ausbildung als ein Technische Daten assistentin. Kung equivalent po ba? Or if I continue po to AMA Online College for a year, would it be recognize po for me to apply in Hochscule?

      1. KR

Are there more requirements po ba? I’m a permanent resident na din po. I need to translate my documents po, right? If so, do you happen to know where na authorised na translator ang pwede po? Thank you po for your response

        1. If docs are in english, it’s usually accepted but mas may plus sa companies if your application letter and resume are in German language. Use websites like azubi.de to search for openings, or if may mga kakilala ka na their companies are looking for Azubi, apply directly doon, the company will tell you what you need.

Hello po, im a high school graduate dito sa pinas and i wanted to study bachelors in germany but sadly due to my low grades sa highschool, i wasnt elligible for my dream course. What i want to know now is kung pwede ba mag 1 year bachelors dito sa pinas tapos transfer nalang sa germany pagka 2nd year, and if possible, pano po malalaman if yung school ko sa 1st year ay elligible to send transfer students to germany. Kasi sa pagkaka alam ko depende parin if yung school is accredited.

          2. In general, K12 plus 1 full year in college sa Pinas ay eligible to Studienkolleg in any university in Germany. K12 is only for Ausbildung, not university. Not all jobs here needs Bachelor degree, some professions only need Ausbildung. K12 + 2 full years in college is equivalent to Abitur and you can directly apply for bachelor program but you might need C1 language certificate kasi majority of bachelor programs are in German. You can check sa university of your choice if the program requires German language.

Hello po! I’m an incoming senior highschool student in a science highschool po and I already started researching on how I could possibly study in germany and I was wondering if eligible na po ba ako for studienkolleg right after finishing K-12 or do I still need 1 year of studying sa college bago ma accept sa studienkolleg? Also if possible po ba na itake ang studienkolleg online and if need po na on site ang study pwede po bang ma cover ng scholarship ang cost of living ko while staying there? Does studienkolleg require me to speak in german po ba or would they be providing us the lessons while studying?

    1. Hi! Based on anabin databank, need at least 1 year in Bachelor program to get admitted in Studienkolleg. As to online classes, I am not sure, Studienkolleg is sa university of your choice and balik f2f na now mga unis dito, so better check on international pages ng universities for that info. Studienkolleg includes German language course. As to scholarship, honestly I have no idea sa available scholarships for Studienkolleg, I know lang starting bachelor program.

Hello po! May alam Po ba kayo kung Ani requirements needed to get a US Visa for Tourism puposes (visiting realtives and/or Friends)? I am living in Germany since late 2018 and still a Philippine Passport Holder. Planning to travel with German Spouse and German Child. Thank you everyone!

What a great venue for Filipinos to find out information about Germany. My son struggled to apply for Masters in Germany because of the number of years difference in our educational system. But with much persistence he was able to get into a school he liked. The „rule“ on taking extra year or years to get into a Masters program is not carved in stone especially if you have some work experience. If you apply through Uni-Assist, they will outright reject your application same with most universities. Try to appeal your case with the university if you feel you are qualified. The important thing is never give up.
Congratulations to the Pinayingermany group. Good job taking time to answer questions of our countrymen.

    1. Thank you, Sir! I agree with you, don’t just give up because the system said it so. Congrats to your son for making it in master program directly and we wish him all the best 😊

    2. CJ

Hello po, may I ask what university ung pinag-applyan ng son nyo? Thank you very much and congrats po sa inyo 🙂

  7. NiceB

    Hello po.

Here is the scenario po: We are planning to have our son study in Germany for college. We already spoke to the representive in FAU-Erlangen and we were advised that he has to finish atleast 1 full year of university here. Then apply for studienkolleg in Munich then after mag Bachelor’s na. We are okay with this pathway. My son is 17 years old and in Grade 12. He attended A1 in Goethe and A2 in Germany. For now he is learning B1 thru online classes and tutorial here in the Philippines.

Question: We can’t decide which school to send him to dito sa PH. Hindi po ba talaga pwedeng sa Private College sya mag 1year na H-/+ ang status? He wanted to take BS in Computer Science.

I hope po you can respond this comment. Thank you in advance.

      1. NiceB

Hello, Ms. Kleinanne. I appreciate your swift response. And yes po, the private college/university options we have are on the list naman po but all with H-/+ status. Ok lang po ba yun? Sorry if my question sounds redundant.

        Thank you. ☺️

        1. Yes, it means ng H+/- is some courses are recognized, some are not.. since he will not finish college in PH naman, so it’s fine. Kapag wala sa list, yun yung magiging problem.

Hello! I just graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (alongside of a completed K-12 school years) this May 2022 and I’m planning to apply and take Master’s in Neuroscience in Germany.

I just want to ask for clarification if my bachelor’s degree is eligible for me to apply for a master’s program in Germany?

    1. Hi! The German education system is still different despite the K12 program. And I checked the anabin portal, psych is not on the list of bachelor programs that is accredited. It can be also because the bachelor program in psych here has a different method of uni acceptance, can be compared to NMAT before one can start in bachelor program (not just for international students but also for germans), hence the accreditation is also totally different. In this case, I would suggest to contact directly the international office of the university of your choice to inquire about this.

Hi, I am currently working in an EU country and I have a job offer at a company Berlin. Pano po ang process for residence permit since hindi ko na need ng visa to enter Germany because nasa EU na ako? And ano po ang reasonable salary range for a Finance Manager in Berlin.

    1. you still need a visa, kasi you are still Filipino, but it will be easier since you are within EU. Only EU citizens don’t need visa moving in to Germany.

  10. Hello po. Fresh graduate po ako ng BSc Nursing dito sa Pinas. And i applied sa agency for Germany pero im only qualified for Ausbildung. So for example, I finished yung 3 years na Ausbildung, pwede po kaya na diretso masteral degree ako using my BSc and my diploma for Ausbildung in nursing? TIA.

    1. Hi! I am not sure kasi hindi naman bachelor program ang nursing dito but Ausbildung, so di ako aware sa requirements ng master program for healthcare management. Alam ko lang may specialization in nursing, but not aware of master. Saka iba iba din ang admission procedure ng universities depende sa region, so better check the university website of your choice.

  11. Inna

Hi. Nagmamaster’s po ako dito sa Philippines. Thesis na lang kulang. Ask ko lang if possible ba na macredit mga subjects ko sa Germany if ever hindi ko na tapusin itong master’s ko dito? Either sa bachelor’s or master’s doon. Gusto ko kasi sana mag duales studium. Possible kaya?

    1. Hi! Yes, you will be eligible sa university sa Germany. Mataas din probability na continue your master program agad, just bring your TOR from bachelor and master (kahit unfinished sya).

      1. Inna

Waaa. Thanks sa encouragement! 🙂 Though hindi pa ako marunong mag-German. Nahihirapan din kasi ako magdecide. Pwede makahingi na rin ng advice? Kasi alam naman natin lahat gaano kahirap magthesis, tapos pandemic pa. Super tough mentally 😦 Naisip ko lang, if pipilitin ko pa tapusin tong master’s ko tapos mag-aaral ako sa Germany ng bachelor’s/master’s, edi magtithesis na naman ako ulit 😦 Iniisip ko kung dapat ba ibuhos ko na lang time and effort ko sa German language kasi 30 na ako next year 😦 Thanks in advance.

        1. May I know anong field mo? Depende sa anong gusto mo ma-achieve afterwards sa Germany. And walang age limit sa pag-aaral dito sa Germany, don’t be pressured dahil sa age mo :-). Learning the language ay mahirap lang naman sa simula but then easier/ faster na once you are immersed sa language.

          1. Inna

Statistics yung master’s ko now. Undergrad ko is Economics. Sa BPO ako nagwowork now. Gusto ko sana magshift ng industry na mas malapit sa pinag-aralan ko and sana makahanap din sa Germany ng work after studies. Yung age ba factor sa paghahanap ng work sa Germany? Yun din kasi isa kong worry.

          2. I see.. while it’s a plus na marunong ka ng German, it won’t be a problem kung basics palang alam mo if you search for a job since this industry is always in the look out of people who are fluent in english language.. di naman big factor ang age when finding a job, mas importante ang skills mo and anong maiicontribute mo sa company.. pagdating sa university, I think for this field, mas ineencourage na nowadays na ang thesis is in english for international publication purposes din, I remember kasi sa university finding lots of jobs sa bulletin board posted by fellow students in master and PhD program looking for translators or proofreaders for their papers.

          3. Inna

Thank you for the advice po. Siguro pag-isipan ko muna kung itutuloy ko itong thesis ko dito, baka sayang lang effort kasi di ba ikoconsider naman nila mga subjects na nakuha ko kahit di pa awarded yung degree?

            Thank you ulit sa advice!

          4. Actually bachelor degree holders malimit may 50/50 chances of being recognized but master degree holders plus practical skills madami job chances lalo in your field.

            Good luck! ☺️

  12. Nicole

Hello! I have a bachelor’s degree from UP po. Can I apply po ba sa mga master’s programs in Germany with my degree? I’ve read somewhere na recognized daw yung degree from state university.

    1. Hi! It will depend on what field and on the university. It is just a general info that state universities are automatically recognized, but it still depends on the field, whether your GPA or the credit points are enough for the master program or you will still need to attend few units in bachelor program before being able to start in master program. Only the university of your choice can decide on this.

      1. Nicole

B.S. Math po. Sa mga quantitative fields sana balak ko like math, statistics or data science. Sige po, I will try applying na lang din. Thanks! For ausbildung po qualified na po yung bachelor’s right?

  13. Ava

Hello po! I have a bachelor degree here in PH (Bachelor of Secondary Education). Nacheck ko sa Anabin Database na recognized ang diploma ng university saan ako nag graduate. Status po kasi is (H+). Possible po ba na makapagturo ako sa Germany? Thank you po!

    1. Hi! I think depende sya saang region ka titira. If private school, I think in any region should be no problem , but if normal german school, I think iba kasi it’s a regulated profession so you still need to take the state exam for teachers, so most probably may seminars ka pa need iattend and at least C1 level of German before you can be accredited to teach.

  14. Maricel Panghulan

Hi, I think you can help us answer our question, my husband who is currently based in China was interviewed a week ago by an employer in Germany and the hiring manager advised him to check if his educational degree here in the philippines will be recognized or equivalent to German degree to apply for a working visa? How can we know this? He’s a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering ( a 5year course ) and he has more than 15years of experience in Manufacturing. Thank you!

  15. Olive

Hai I am olive Sordilla 26 years old, I am undergraduate of Bachelor of Elementary Education 6 years, one owner of company wants to get me as his employee or a personal assistant or a maid, but I don’t know if im qualified,I have so many working experience, im 2 years all around employee in a resort, 2 years in online store company, and a maid for almost 1 years. My future will provide everything but its first time for him also to get a Filipino worker. Please help me what I’m going to do.

    1. Hi Olive!

What exactly was the job offer? Hindi uso ang maid dito sa Germany. Maybe you meant, Au-Pair Mädchen? Take note that this is not really a job, it is only for 1 year and you only get an allowance, not really a salary and you have to attend language courses. After a year, you can stay in Germany if you get a slot in a university as a student or find a job with work contract so you can convert your visa to working visa. Au Pair visa cannot be extended and it has age limit. And as Au-Pair Mädchen, you should already have A1 level of German from the Philippines.

  16. Denver

Hi I have a friend who is ongoing language training here po sa pinas and she is PLHIV i know this is kinda sensitive, she is a nurse by the way, can she still push thru with these open ba ang germany for people with these condition. Thank you

  17. Wilhelm Staller

Hallo, my girlfriend has a German D Visa für Sprachkurs and already registered in a state linked language school.. She will be allowed to travel or need more requirements?
    Thanks

    1. If she has a visa, then she’s ready to travel, unless there are restrictions related to CoViD-19. Please contact Auswärtigesamt to inquire about the current restrictions.

  18. Hello! I completed K-12 here in PH and now I’m in 2nd year college taking up BS BA. I’m just wondering if a bachelor’s diploma and a couple years of work experience will be accredited in Germany if I plan to pursue Master’s degree there someday.

    1. Hi! It depends on your degree and also on the university. Important also will be your final GPA and number of credit points from your entire bachelor program.

  19. Nine

Hi uhmm.. I am actually Filipino-German, grown up here in the Philippines. And I really wish and do hope to study one day in Germany, Are there things po na I need to consider before applying to universities?
Btw nakapagtapus po ako ng k-12 program.
Even though it’s not sure that I could study there one day, I just wants to know. It’s really bugging. I hope you could help me. Thank you 😊

    1. Hi! from Anabin databank, if K12 alone, it is equivalent to Allgemeine Schulreife (eligible for Ausbildung or apprenticeship). If planning to attend university, it should be K12 + 2 years in college (eto equivalent to Abitur)… K12 + 1 year in college is eligible for Studienkolleg… university kasi is not based on your citizenship but sa school that you attended. If you attended German school in the PH then no need for Studienkolleg na and direct to Bachelor program kasi meron sila dun IB program. Also, not all universities ay may english programs, so most universities require at least C1 level of German language proficiency.

      1. Hello, I am quite confused now. If I finished my K12 with 2 years college degree am I eligible for Studienkolleg or Arbitur? Please elaborate this details more to me. Thank you!

        1. Hi! K12 + 2 years in college is equivalent to an Abitur in Germany and you can directly apply for bachelor program, provided that you have at least C1-level of German language.

          1. Emerald

Hello, how about K to 12 + 1 year college is it eligible for German college (not university). Thank you!

          2. sorry for delayed response… there is no such thing as “college” in Germany. There is University, Fachhochschule, or Berufsschule. I think you mean the Berufsschule, it is connected to Ausbildung, so technically, all who finished at least high school in the Philippines is eligible to this.

  20. Emerald

If it is fine with you at what German university did you study? We are kind of at the same field. I am currently taking bs chemical engineering but planning to shift to chemistry. Also, at if you are taking German language course, at what level does it require? B2 or C1 or C2? Thanks a lot 🙂

    1. C1 is the minimum language proficiency requirement in all universities. B1 will get you into Studienkolleg or DSH, but not yet in bachelor program itself. Chem Eng is much better to pursue than Chemistry here. There are more career chances for engineering. Chemistry is more into research here, hence quite difficult to get job after Bachelor. Unlike in PH that you just need to take licensure exam to be a chemist, here only PhD graduates get that title.

      1. Emerald

Thank you for the information. This is quite helpful. If it’s fine, I will still ask in the future. Have a good day!

  21. Emerald

How about I study there for bachelor’s degree? I read on the anabin that I need to have atleast 1 year or 2 years in order for me to be acquired to a university for bachelor’s in Germany? Thanks

    1. It’s the same, I am talking about my professor here in Germany, not in the Philippines. My PH Degree was only equivalent to Abitur that’s why I had to repeat bachelor program here. You need at least 2 years in college in the Philippines to be eligible for Studienkolleg and after passing Studienkolleg, that’s the time you can start in bachelor program.

      1. Emerald

By the way what university are you in? Are you taking your classes in german language or english and german? Thanks

        1. I got accepted in Uni in Frankfurt am Main. All subjects are in German, I don’t think there are english courses in Uni Frankfurt except for Literature and master/PhD programs

  22. Emerald

Hello! May I ask if after studying my bachelor’s degree in Germany would I be able to get a job somehow? Or not :-(.Thanks!!!

    1. depends on your field… for example, for us in B.S. Chemistry, our prof told us already on 1st sem that B.S. degree is not enough to land a job, so either we proceed to master and PhD programs or do Ausbildung after, that’s why a number of us searched for Ausbildung and didn’t finish the bachelor program.

  23. Im so happy i found this page. Gusto namin ng bf ko na makakuha ako ng long term visa.undergrad ako ng BA Communication from UP and another univeristy(coz i transferred) and then i worked for 4 years sa cruise ships sailing to EU.right now my level is german A2 and currently studying B1. Is there a chance na mahire po ako in germany and get working visa without going back to University or studienkolieg or applying for Ausbildung?

    1. Hi! It depends sa profession mo and years of experience. You can have your credentials “anerkannt”. If you’re planning to apply for working visa, importante yung documents from the employer and the certificate of equivalence. Pero kung for example you will go to Germany with fiancee visa, then saka maghahanap ng work, it will depend kung anong type of work gusto mo ipursue, in general, if you want to stay in your field then need ung Anerkennung. If magulo explain ko here, please message me in our FB page (medyo sabaw na ko today, sorry 🙈)

  24. Hi! Gusto ko po mag aral sa Germany. Sa Stuttgart Technical University of Applied Sciences, Bachelor of Interior Architecture. Pero sabi po is kelangan ng Abitur, General qualification for university entrance
subject-related higher education entrance qualification (all forms)
Advanced technical college entrance qualification. San ko po ba makukuha tong mga to? Graduate po ako ng BS Criminology. Sana po may makatulong. Salamat!

    1. Hi Deborah! Are you already in Germany? By default ay ang 4-year BS degree from Pinas ay equivalent to Abitur. But need mo pa din ipaanerkannt ang documents mo. Check mo sa website ng unuversity paano ang application process for non-EU students, iba iba kasi system bawat region. For example, most university dito sa Hesse, they use uni-assist as partner for Anerkennung ng school credentials ng international students, other region/ university ay sa regional Department of education. Just follow ano yung steps ng application for international students sa university of your choice.

    Hello,

Sa ZAB, don sa application.. may nakalagay applying for

    Profession Practice (Berufsausübung)
    Degree Leadership (Gradführung)

Sa totoo lang nakakalito sha maam, pag Professional Practice ba ibigsabihin recognized professions? Like doctor, engineer, nurse, etc? O hindi naman? Pag degree leadership naman..ibigsabihin ba matagal ng nagttrabaho?

Tapos meron ding for Visa purposes pero parang lahat naman kakailanganin ng Visa..ano dapat ang mas magandang ilagay? For aiming of potential work, yung aiming for Blue Card ba or Visa na lang hindi na rin yung naunang dalawa na Prof practice and degree leadership?

    Bale yung choices maam ay
    Professional practice
    Aiming for blue card
    Blue card applied for
    Visa
    Degree Leadership
    Further studies

Baka mali lang kasi ang direct translation at mas alam niyo po.

    Thank you!

    1. Hi! ZAB recognition ay 3: statement of comparability in school level, this is helpful for Ausbildung purposes; statement of comparability for university purposes, under dito yung Gradführung. This is usually for student visa purposes and for researchers/scientists who wanted to practice profession here in research institutes or universities. And the third one is certificate for profession practice (Berufsausübung) and it is for all profession, both regulated (doctors, nurses, engineers, etc.) and non-regulated jobs (accountant, IT, etc.). The last one yung need if working visa or jobseeker visa purposes, whether or not you’re aiming for blue card status. Researchers/ scientists can also apply for blue card, importante sa blue card yung annual income, kaya part na ng requirement for blue card ang work contract.

Hope it helped. Good luck! 😊

Thank you po in advance! more power po and thank you po sa mga blog nyo.

    1. By default ay 4-year degree courses from PH ay equivalent to Abitur, or school-leaving diploma.. if you read/ translated yung nasa Anabin that states eligible for “Hochschule” ay it doesn’t mean na equivalent ang degree mo to elementary lang. “Hochschule” ang general term for university or college in German. If you want to work sa Germany, kailangan mo magparecognize (Anerkennung) ng school records mo, you will get the same info sa anabin in form of a certificate, this certificate will help you get any job na hindi kelangan ng bachelor degree, it can get you into apprenticeship programs din. But kung gusto mong ipractice ang degree mo, I suggest na isama mo sa pag-aapply ng recognition ang certificate of past employment mo at kung may mga seminars ka, isama mo na din. It might help and pwedeng marecognize ang degree mo as equivalent to German bachelor degree. Join our FB group “Study and Work in Germany for Filipinos”, madaming pwedeng makapag-advice sayo dun on what steps to take sa pagpapa-anerkannt.

      1. AVA MARIE ASCOTIA SALVADOR

Possible po ba makahanap ng job as a teacher also in germany? Thank you po

        1. Yes, possible since in demand ang teachers, however, as far as I know, regulated profession ang teachers, so possible you will be asked to take state exam (similar to our PRC board exam).. so you need to undergo recognition ng profession once here, and might be asked to take some seminars or few units in university din muna before you can practice your profession.

  28. Nicole

Hello po! I hope you’re doing well.
I’m about to finish my first year in undergrad dito sa Philippines and gusto ko po sana mag-shift ng course at magtransfer sa Germany. Do I need to take studienkolleg kahit nag k-12 na po ako?
Are there things po na I should consider before applying to universities? Tips and advice po? Sobrang gusto ko po kasi talaga mag-aral sa Germany kaso nagdadalawang-isip po ako kasi malaki na po yung nagastos sa shs at 1st year ko tapos baka hindi po macredit 😦

Thank you po in advance and stay safe!

    1. Hello! As far as I know, yes, you will need to attend Studienkolleg because you have no certificate equivalent to Abitur (IB Diploma) yet. Check this website (https://www.gesm.org/ibdp-programme-gib) of German School in Paranaque, and you may inquire there if you can take the IBD exam or if they have anything that will enable you to attend the Bachelor programme right away.

  29. Mary

Hi.. I think there have been several questions about the same topic here already but would still check with you.

I met my boyfriend 2017 while I was on holiday in Germany, it got better through time and he’s gone back and forth here in Manila also but now we realize that it’s really time to stay together.

    Here’s my info:
I have 2 degrees when I graduated, and I am working for 9 years now. I’m currently a manager in one of our country’s telco companies, I dealt with several tech and mobile companies na rin, including startups (which is quite big in Berlin). I know I’m not eligible for the qualifications on the medical or engineering fields but is there a way for me to still get recognition or even odds of getting a job?

I saw that there is a jobseekers visa..am I eligible for that? I’m planning to do my German language training at Goethe this coming year so I’m more equipped on my future job applications. Let me know if you have experience with someone similar to my case and I would really appreciate your reply to me and thanks in advance for the help. I’m getting anxiety with all the forms and the info that it is really difficult to get a job. Maligayang Pasko and Happy New Year na rin!

    1. Hi! I would recommend trying to apply already for jobs while still in the Philippines. I don’t know anyone personally who came with jobseeker’s visa, but a few who came with working visa/ EU blue card. They applied while still in the Philippines and the company helped them out with the visa. Since you already have managerial experience, I think you can qualify for an EU blue card. Knowing German language is of course going to be a big help in the future. If you are on FB, feel free to join our group, Study and Work in Germany for Filipinos group, there are lots of Filipino expats there who might be able to help you as well.

Good luck on your future endeavors.

Hi Mary! I’m working in a Telco company in Germany. What type of work do you do? Maybe I can give you tips where to apply for jobs.

      1. Mary

        KleineAnne and Nathalie!

Thank you so much for replying!
Actually, that’s my question, if they have applied while still in the country, what websites did they use or which companies did they reach out to?

I liaise with the various big brands and discuss their launches of the new products (Apple, Samsung, etc). I also prepare some frameworks on the product development side (new mobile plans or pay-as-you-go solutions), making sure that it remains competitive and relevant. I also do marketing launch plans to match the new plans, if any. Lastly, with new plans and network enhancements (3G, 4G, 5G), loyalty rewards behavior analysis and solutions are also reviewed for those who stay with the company.

Eventually, I have to ask my company for my official work profile right? So I can get the job equivalent certification with the German labor office? Is it called KMK? Do I need this first before I apply to any company?

Thank you so much again! And still, happy new year! 🙂

        1. Maybe Nathalie can help you better here. The person I know applied via Monster (or something similar, I forgot exactly), then she was invited for a personal interview after a Skype interview. She came with Schengen visa for the final interview. She then received all necessary documents for the working visa via courier afterwards. As far as I can remember, she did not have any equivalence certification when she applied, but it was also because the company was a sister company of where she was working in Manila back then.

I am currently working in a call center, they also did not ask for equivalence certificate from me when I applied. But when I tried applying for a job related to my degree, the company was asking for it from me.

          1. Maria

            Thanks Anne for your help!
I know you’ve posted it here before but can you post it again? The process in which your current job description will be certified by the German Labor Council (or to that equivalent?) Reading through your past responses, I saw that one has to get that certification too, to boost their application alongside language certifications. Hope you can share the process or website again and/or you may also email me personally. Maraming, maraming salamat!

Hi Anne!, I’m planning to take my daughter to study here in Germany for university. Would she get in Universities here with just a Philippines high school diploma?

    1. Hi Belle! Is she part of K-12 program? If yes, I think, yes, she just need to attend first the Studienkolleg in the university. To be sure though, you may contact the university of your choice itself, since anything related to Bildung is different in every Bundesland.

        1. Old curriculum, you need at least 2 years in college to be eligible to Studienkolleg… or if you finished 4-year course, you are eligible to apply to any bachelor program of your choice… if with work experience, there can also be chances to be accepted to Master program, but this depends on the university and your degree…

Hi I’m an undergraduate in B.Sc. Business Management dito sa Pinas. Was about to graduate pero nagstop. Gusto ko sanang mag-apply sa university of Hochschule Niederrhein, University of Applied Sciences sa Germany, this time B.Sc in Psychology. Tanong ko sana if qualified ang TOR for their Abitur, or ano-ano ba ang mga considered na documents for higher education entrance qualification certificate. Thank you. Also, I’m out of school for 4 yrs now.

    1. Since you did not finish the 4-year-course, you will be asked to attend the Studienkolleg muna before ka makaapply sa actually bachelor program. Sa Studienkolleg ay you will take important subjects such as Science,Math,Literature and German language. You have to pass the final exam there before you can apply for bachelor program. Yung grades mo din dun ang magdedecide aling programs ka pwede mag-enroll. BS Psych ay may ibang procedure din to get in, may additional entrance exam and interview ng faculty. Check the university website for documents needed to get in their Studienkolleg program. Make use of the university’s consultation for foreign students to get more accurate information. Consultation is free. Good luck on your future endeavors! 🙂

  32. Hello! I’m new on this blog, i’d like to ask for some help coz i am planning to work in germany since my boyfriend live there. I graduated with the degree of BA in communications (not in UP) and i am wondering if i can use there in germany (munich) or i still have to study there to be able to get a job? Thank you so much.

    1. Hi! For those na sakop ng old PH school system (hindi K-12), yung bachelor degree ay equivalent lang sa school leaving certificate/ certificate that eligibles you to attend university (Abitur). But if may extensive work experience ka, you can land a job without going back to school, lalo Munich ay madaming international companies. But knowledge of the german language can of course give you more opportunities.

      1. I am junior High school graduate in the Philippines and will be married to a german kaya lang nagkaroon ng lockdown. Ask ko lang sana kung anong grade ako babagsak doon kung mag aaral ako.

        1. Hi! I think I already talked to you in IG, right? Anyway, to answer it here as well. If you opt to get Abitur to get eligible for university studies here, there are Abendschule where you can take the classes for Abitur Nachholen… and another chance is finding Ausbildung. Since junior high is like grade 9 here, or Hauptschule, so may direct Einstieg to vocational courses or apprenticeship ang mga galing sa Hauptschule…

    Good day!

Just saw this site, and I would like to ask for some help. I’m currently working outside Ph now and planning to move in Munich coz my parter is from Munich. We are wondering if I can use my College defree (Bachelor of arts in Communication) to work in Munich or do i still have to study there in university to be able to get work. Thank you 😊

    1. Hi! You need to apply for recognition of your degree (Anerkennung) to be able to practice it here. By default, our 4-year-degree is only equivalent to school-leaving diploma here (Abitur) and you either apply for an apprenticeship (Ausbildung) or attend a university.

    Hello po Ms. Anne.

May idea po kayo if comparable/eligible for blue card ang 5-year BS Accountancy Diploma ng Mindanao State University?

    Thank you po in advance.

    1. Hi! May kilala akong naaccredit ang 5-year BS Accountancy nya and ang alam ko nga private university sya, so ikaw na from State U ay mas may chance, but that is kasi may super gandang resume/ work experience din sya na inattach sa pagpapaassess nya. Another, for blue card, tinitingnan din ang salary offer ng company. Hindi ka maggrant ng blue card status kung wala ka pang employer.

Hi, im a finilipa, married to a german national here in te philippines, im on my processing for my family reuonion visa, and i found out im pregnant.

I would like to ask if theres an easiest way to get the visa since im pregant?
i really wanted to be with my husband.
And another thing, ived read some blogs na pinay with kids do not require to have a1 certificate? Is it valid even the baby is still in my womb?
Thank you so much for the help. Godbless😇

    1. I know a few na they were exempted from A1 since they were pregnant, I just don’t know what additional documents did they pass. Maybe it can help if your bf writes on the informal invitation that he wants you to give birth in Germany.
